Flamingo in Kruger Park?Yes we had the privilege to see a flamingo in Kruger National Park close in the Olifants River close to Olifants Camp. Was a late Christmas present for us for sure. The flamingo’s pink colouring comes from the red-coloured pigments called carotenoids that are present in the flamingo’s food. On safari we saw this single bird in the Olifants River from the high water bridge the first sighting of the Greater Flamingo for me in Kruger park in 30 years. |
