4 Days / 3 Night Safari:

Four days and three nights give us time to explore most of the southern part of Kruger National Park.

Using Skukuza Camp as our base, we cover most of the southern part of the Park.

Daily photo safaris are focused on the animals you want to see,
and of course, using the mornings and afternoons, good light and golden hour.

4 Day Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival at Skukuza Airport & check-in at Skukuza Safari Lodge

Try to get the earliest flight to make the most of your 4-day experience.

Pick up and start the game drive directly from the airport, as it is just outside Skukuza camp, and we can go and check in at around 14:00.

You will be staying in a Standard Lodge room with 2 Twin or King Size beds with air-conditioning and an en-suite bathroom.

After check-in and settling in around 15:00, we continue the game drive until the gate closes around 17:30 to 18:30, depending on the time of year.

Day 2 and Day 3 - These are two full days of exploration and photographic adventure.

With a very early start, every morning just as the gates open, we are out in the bush, normally around sunrise, to get the best light, weather permitting, for the morning. Early mornings are normally the best for the big cats, and with your guide's knowledge of the area and recent predator past sightings, you have a good chance of spending some time with a lion or Leopard in the morning.

After breakfast, the adventure continues, and we head out to a different area depending on sightings, of course. Now, with the light a bit harsher, we can experiment with different settings and modes on your camera. Your guide does have some exercises planned to improve your wildlife photography skills.

We continue our search for mammals and birds until it's time for lunch, and then we take a break back in camp to get some rest, clean memory cards and do some backups.

The afternoon is a new adventure as we head to the golden hour, and we stay out until the gates close.
During the day, we might visit a bird hide, depending on the area where we are in the Kruger National Park

Day 4 - Early morning game drive and depart

Try to get the latest flight out of Skukuza Airport, because then we can explore further the next morning.

Early morning pick-up is at around 05:00, depending on the time of the year. This is the best time to try to get the big cats and general game. Our area of game viewing will be determined by the guide's knowledge of what signings have been seen the past couple of days before your arrival, and experience off-course.

In the bush, we will do a comfort break and have some tea and coffee.
After the break, we slowly head back to camp for breakfast and check out at 10:00

With your luggage loaded, we go on a game drive after breakfast again until it's time for your airport drop off.
