Overview

5-Day 4 Night - Private Kruger Park Safari Tour

A 4-night safari in Kruger National Park can be an unforgettable experience. To make the most out of your trip, we strongly recommend staying in two different camps, allowing you to explore the park from different angles. We understand that picking the right area can be tricky, but our team will be more than happy to assist you in making the best choice based on the time of year. This will ensure that you get the most out of your game-viewing experience in the park.

The Southern and central parts of the park offer distinct landscapes and wildlife. You can visit and depart from either location, with the added convenience of Skukuza Airport located next to the Skukuza camp inside the Kruger Park. This means that you can easily plan your trip and spend more time enjoying the stunning scenery and wildlife sightings.

5 Day Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrival at Skukuza Airport

For an optimal experience spanning five days, we recommend booking the earliest available flight. As soon as you arrive at Skukuza airport, you will embark on a game drive and check-in is expected at around 14:00. However, should you manage to catch the 11:00 flight from Johannesburg, we would be delighted to commence the tour earlier.

Your standard room at Skukuza Safari Lodge includes breakfast packs and free Wi-Fi.

After you check-in and settle in at approximately 15:00, we shall continue with the game drive until the gate closes, which is normally between 17:30 to 18:30, depending on the time of year. Dinner will be served at a restaurant, but at your own expense.

Stay at Skukuza Safari Lodge

Day 2 - Full-day Game drives with an afternoon break

Early morning start, so that we can be out the gate when it opens around 05:00 am. Early morning is the best for big cats as it is still cool and we normally see them still moving around until it gets hot and they take cover from the sun.

Comfort break in the bush with coffee/tea or Hot chocolate. Bottled water is also available on the game drives daily. Now we head to a different camp or picnic spot to have breakfast and to explore.

After breakfast, we continue the game drive until lunchtime and we get back to Skukuza camp then you can have lunch and relax around the pool or book a spa session. Late afternoon we go out again until the gate close around 17:30 to 18:30 depending on gate closing time.

Day 3 - Early morning game drive and move camp

We will kick-start the day with an early morning game drive as soon as the gates open to scour for animals. Following this, we will head back to the camp for breakfast and check-out at 10:00 am

At Satara camp, you will be accommodated in a 2 or 3-sleeper,  en-suite bungalow that is air-conditioned. For your convenience, the camp features a restaurant and shop.

The mid-day hours will be worth utilizing for travelling to the new camp and checking in at 14:00.

After a short break for settling in and lunch, we will embark on another game drive in the afternoon until the gate shuts.

Late-night drive with The Kruger National Park guides on a 20-seater vehicle is an experience that you must do to explore the nocturnal animals and birds.

Please note: The transfers to the next camp will be undertaken in the same vehicle with the same guide, along with your luggage, in a game-drive manner.

Our stay will be at Satara Rest Camp, located in the central area of Kruger National Park.

Day 4 - Full-day Game drives with an afternoon break

Early morning start, so that we can be out the gate when it opens around 05:00 am. Because we are now in a new area we have new and exciting landscapes to explore each area of Kruger National Park looks different so it's a new experience for sure as no two days in the African bush are the same.

Comfort break in the bush with coffee/tea or Hot chocolate. Bottled water is also available on the game drives daily.

Breakfast time will be back at Satara Camp or a nearby Picnic area it all depends on the sightings in the area on the day.

After breakfast, we continue the game drive until lunchtime and we get back to camp then you can have lunch and relax around the pool or catch up on some lost sleep due to the early mornings.

Late afternoon we go out again until the gates close around sunset time.

Stay at Satara rest camp. (Central Kruger Park)

Day 5 - Early morning game drive and departing to Skukuza Airport

After the morning game drive, we will head back to Satara Camp to check out and enjoy breakfast. Our guide will ensure that we have ample time to arrive at Skukuza airport for check-in. We aim to make the most of our remaining time for game viewing.
